About the project
The Luceno Origins Project is maintained by James Michael Luceno, a descendant of Vito Lucenó and Chiara Fani.
I began investigating the family after genetic testing raised questions about the deeper origins of the Lucenó paternal line. Since then, the project has grown to include civil-record research, family-tree reconstruction, historical research into life in San Vito, autosomal DNA analysis, and Big Y testing.
The purpose of this site is to preserve that research, make it freely available, and connect with others who may help recover more of the family’s history.
